Forgiveness.. Just Maybe.
Everyday, a teenager takes his/her own life. Do they deserve forgiveness? It honestly depends on the situation. In a book I read, a girl took her life because she wasn't popluar enough. She had a good high school life, great friends, and an amazing family. She wanted more though and when she didn't get to be the highest in the school, she took her life hoping she would more popular. Honestly, she really doesn't deserve the forgiveness, because she was selfish. In another book I read, there was a man that lost everything because he had cancer. So he couldn't do everything that he did before, everybody gave up on him. Eventually he gave up on himself and took his life. Suddenly, people were there when it was too late. He deserves the forgiveness. In the end, everybody should be forgiven, but sometimes people don't actually deserve it.

I agree and you really hit some great points. I believe that each situation varies but in terms of us forgiving I believe that by not forgiving we become a prisoner of a hard feeling that one day we have to encounter.
ReplyDeleteAre you willing to forgive without judgement?
I agree. The situation does all depend on what their heart shows truthfully. Jesus says forgive because I forgave you. So, in the end we should all forgive. The saying, "forgive and forget," is not very accurate in my opinion. We should all forgive eventually, but we should never forget the past.
ReplyDeleteWhy not forgive somebody who takes their life for a selfish reason? Everybody takes selfish acts, some are just not as severe as the situation you discuss, but we still end up forgiving them. The situation they're in depends on how much forgiveness you're willing to give.
